Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program at Tribhuvan University (TU) spans four years (eight semesters) and is structured to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in computer science and information technology. TU established the BCA program in response to the increasing demand for IT professionals both in Nepal and internationally.

WHY BCA IN PMC?

The curriculum is designed to provide a well-rounded education, featuring a comprehensive blend of programming, database management, web technologies, networking, and software engineering. Additionally, it incorporates courses in mathematics, management, and communication to cultivate graduates who are well-prepared for the workforce. Each semester includes practical projects, assignments, and internships, ensuring that students acquire hands-on experience in conjunction with their academic studies.
Patan Multiple Campus initiated BCA Program from education year 2074/075 whose main objective is to produce the highly qualified computer professionals impart of both theoretical and practical knowledge in computer system and its application development, administration, & management.

AFTER BCA?

Graduates from TU’s BCA program are well-equipped for a variety of positions, including software developers, system analysts, database administrators, network engineers, web and mobile application developers, IT consultants, and system administrators. Many graduates also opt to pursue advanced studies (such as MCA, MIT, or MBA) or obtain certifications to further enhance their specialization.
1. Produces programmers and software developers who are experts in the field of computer applications with theoretical and practical knowledges.
2. Teaches students about various software development tools and methodologies.
3. Improves student’s ability to generate answers to technical issues that emerge in industrial, commercial, and government organizations.
4. Offers students with a solid foundation for subsequent study at MIT, MBA, MCA, and other institutions.

Entry Requirement:

For Grade 12 Passed 2079 B.S onwards:
Minimum D grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 1.8 or minimum score of second division in 10+2/PCL or equivalent in any discipline or students who have passed grade 11 and waiting for result of grade 12 can also apply. However, they have to submit the certificates of grade 11 and 12 and all the required documents at the time of admission.
Grade 12 Passed Before 2079 B.S.:
Minimum D⁺ grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with minimum CGPA 2.0 or minimum score of second division marks in 10+2/PCL or equivalent in any discipline.
Attendance Requirement: Minimum of 80% of the classes actually held.
Shift (Class time): Day Shift 
Total Fee: Rs. 3,40,000 /- (Excluding Exam Fee) for complete program. Payment will be made on Semester wise installment basis as decided by campus Administration.
Admission Procedure: Successful students in entrance examination shall be admitted on merit basis. Campus Administration will announce the admission date later.
